Overview: All financial assistance is for short term needs. Then case management is used to bring the tenant/family towards housing stability, and only then may rent or other support be given.

Good Neighbors of Blount County
Overview: One time rent payment assistance is available. Other funds, or loans, can help pay energy costs, security deposits, and address additional housing needs. Clients need to pay a portion of the arrears on their bills, including rent.

Overview: Provides subsidizing housing for low and moderate income individuals in Lenoir City, TN.

Lost Vets Rescue
Overview: Provides emergency shelter, food, clothing, medicine and transportation for veterans.

Maryville Housing Authority
Overview: Very low income families, single moms, or the elderly may apply for public housing. This is part of HUD section 8 rent assistance programs, in which vouchers are used with the tenant and landlord. The rent program allows private homes or apartments in Blount County to be used as well.

Mid-East Community Action Agency
Overview: Funds are available for households who are in an emergency situation. Funds are also available for households who face a homeless situation due to violation of lease agreement. Each emergency situation is reviewed to meet set guidelines.

Temporary Shelter Program from Family Promise
Overview: The transitional housing/shelter is given for 90 days only. They also coordinate permanent home placement, refer to child care, deposit programs, and more.
